Sarah Cornwell


 

Sarah completed her Ph.D. the Library and Information Science program at the University of Western Ontario in 2025, and her Master’s in Linguistics in 2016. Her doctocal thesis is entitled “The Information-Seeking Practices of Established Active Multilinguals in London, Ontario. Her research interests include text analytics, phonology, sociolinguistic variation of English, and L2 acquisition.

Sarah joined the LiT.RL team as an MA student in September 2015. She was tasked with data collection of the satirical and legitimate news for the News Verification Project. As of 2016, in her new role as a doctoral level research assistant, Sarah is working on developing a new line of research related to information manipulation in the context of news provision and news consumption.
