Guest Lecture by Cst. Lazar, Lie Detection Expert

On 7 March 2023, Zaia Lazar will deliver a guest talk on Lie Detection as part of investigative interviewing techniques in Law Enforcement. The event will take place in Dr. Rubin’s (FIMS9328) Misinformation & Viral Deception (Winter 2023) class, and it is open to the registered students in this course and the LiT.RL team. Zaia Lazar is an expert on investigative interviewing techniques and instructor of front line supervisor course at the Ontario Police College. Lazar’s investigative work received local Ontario media coverage in 2013 in The St.Thomas Times Journal and  The London Free Press. He has graciously agreed to come back to Western for another session of explanations and a polygraph demonstration to this term’s class, as part of his outreach to the academic community.
